I thought I would share a photo that is in my interview portfolio. The original photos are much larger of course (a few are in the 45 MB range), have more detail and do not contain the copyright notice at the bottom. All studio shots were done in my home using a light tent and different lighting configurations for each shot.
If there is one thing I would like for my studio, it would be a dust free environment, all images, especially the medium format camera, were dust magnets. Many hours were spent in Photoshop under 100% magnification to remove all traces of dust. This tedious process of dust, blemish and scratch removal may not always be cost effective, and to an observer would be verging on being anal, but when the job is done the results speak for themselves.
All studio shots were made using an Olympus Zuiko Digital 35mm macro lens with a fixed aperture of f3.5. This lens is my favourite because it is my only prime lens and it produces exceptionally sharp images from edge to edge. The downfall of a lens like this is it's shallow depth of field which I was able to overcome by focus stacking every image, on average stackin anywhere from 8 to 10 frames.
